Remixology: H.A.T.E.U. (Chew Fu Stop Hatin’ Fix) – Mariah Carey

Remixology is a new series of remix-oriented posts. The purpose of the series is to shed light on many great remixes that go unnoticed, and to make you fall in love with a song you originally didn’t like, or rediscover it in a new dimension.

First of the list is Mariah Carey’s “H.A.T.E.U.”, a lot of people were on the fence about this song, if you are one of them; the Chew Fu remix will kick you over the fence into the side where the grass is greener.

5th Iamamiwhoami Video

The viral video campaign for Iamamiwhoami released its 5th video yesterday after being silent for nearly a week. Here the singer, or model, or hero, or whoever she is, though still dirty is more visible than in the first four videos, on her feet and leaning against a snow-covered tree again. The music here is probably the least engaging of  the 5 videos, but the girl does hang a bunch of strawberrys in the last clip, which is visually stimulating, and in line with the Iamamiwhoami policy of flashing a last second shot of something unusual to remember, like the singer spinning on a tree stump to conclude the 4th video.

There are slim silhouettes, striking colorwashes, short-sleeved shirts and classic check shirts: take a look …
